PREFERRED PET HEALTH PLAN

We are proud to be the only hospital in the area to offer the Preferred Pet Health Plan. This is our managed health care plan that makes your pet's health care more affordable. Now you can treat your pet when the need arises and not have to put off routine care like vaccinations and yearly lab tests.

Because this is an in house managed health care plan that you pay for monthly there are no middlemen and no claim forms to fill out like the pet insurance companies.

IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter procedures; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

Our Preferred Pet Health Plan is designed to make wellness care more affordable. Feel free to contact us for more information about our Preferred Pet Health Plan.

FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.

You can now request refills of your pet's prescriptions on-line. If you will go up to the top of this page and click on Contact Us - you will find a Prescription Refill heading. This will allow you to email the hospital directly to request medication refills.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Nutrition is a very important part your pet's wellness care. The correct diet can help your pet maintain an appropriate weight, slow tartar build-up on teeth, improve joint mobility, or aid in the treatment of a specific medical problem. Our trained staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.

BOARDING

Not the same old boarding kennel! Come check out our pet-friendly home away from home!

Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified resort staff members do the same when you can't be there. We provide tender loving care (such as brushing and cuddling), and supervised outdoor playtime to keep them happy and active.

DAY CARE

Is your pet unhappy or lonely while you're at work? Give your companion the personal attention he or she deserves throughout the day. We offer the same TLC and playtime offered to our longer-term guests.

GROOMING AND BATHING

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath and a special hair cut.. Our special cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. Becky Simms, our professional groomer, is available to give your pet a special new hair do.

DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup.

EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE

In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.

PAIN MANAGEMENT

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

RADIOLOGY

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION

We maintain a supply of blood for all types of pets in case of emergency. The blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners, and all blood is carefully screened for disease.

ENDOSCOPY

High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination and biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. Foreign objects can also be removed without the need for surgery.

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client.

INTE
RNAL MEDICINE

We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others.

HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES

Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. We employ staff veterinarians who possess experience in the care and treatments of exotics.

MICROCHIPPING

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

SURGERY

We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.

ULTRASOUND

This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.
